2022 Winter Convention

On January 22-24, 2022, Missouri LICA members gathered at the Courtyard by Marriott in Columbia, MO to learn how to be better business owners, including what you should do when OSHA arrives, what exposures take place on a jobsite and how you need to manage your insurance policy to reduce your risk, the latest program updates from DNR and NRCS, how to purchase and operate GPS systems, and an update on legislative issues facing LICA members. The Ladies Auxiliary spent some time at a local spa, made some crafts, and learned some self-defense techniques from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Friday evening was spent renewing friendships with our Associate members after the Covid break and grabbing some great deals at our Education Auction, while supporting both Missouri LICA’s Memorial Scholarship fund and the National LICA Veterans Education Foundation. We also took this opportunity to present Marty Comstock, retired Missouri NRCS State Engineer, and Colleen Meredith, retired Director of the Missouri DNR Soil & Water Program with commemorative clocks in appreciation for their outstanding support of LICA during their careers. Lin Reed was named 2021 Associate of the Year with his widow, Terri, accepting the award and donating three scholarships from the Reed family. We rounded out the Convention with a Membership Meeting and Cornhole Tournament. All in all, it was a great convention! For the Convention agenda, click here.
